Cycle racks and amenity seating, multiple locations

Funding: Multiple minor projects each around £3,000

Status: 1 project completed February 2007

Recently we were very fortunate to get funding of £2,500 from the Scottish Community Foundation for a number of small-scale improvements. With the money, we purchased some bicycle racks, and got planning permission to site these at Creagorry Post Office, and outside Lovat's shop. These have now been installed, thanks to Jimmy MacRury, and they look very fine. We are now waiting for some good weather to get some photographs of the racks in use. We have used up all our original grant, and more, so if this project is popular, we will need to seek more funding for another set of cycle racks.

Please contact us if you know of a place where you think a bicycle rack would be useful. We are also interested in installing benches throughout the area, and would like to hear from you if you have any thoughts on where a bench might go.
